THE “COS BLANC” - SALOU’S CONFETTI FESTIVAL (JANUARY)
This is one of the highlights of Salou’s Winter Town Festival that for many is the emblem of the festival. It is held every year in the last week of January.
It is the confetti festival par excellence. It lasts approximately 3 hours during which some 25 tons of confetti are shot into the air along its approximately 500-metre route, together with an impressive display of light and sound. A massive spectacle to be enjoyed by the whole family.

LA FERIA SABOR SALOU (MARCH)
organised on the seafront promenade between the end of March and the middle of April. The area’s restaurateurs exhibit their culinary delights on stands set up along the promenade. The organisers also offer a series gastronomic activities for adults and children throughout the weekend.
MARE NOSTRUM FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT OF SALOU (APRIL)
Salou has an impressive soccer sports complex with different soccer fields, training rooms, meeting rooms and a cafeteria: the Complejo Deportivo Futbol Salou.
In this complex, an international football tournament is organized every year around Easter: the Mare Nostrum Football Tournament. Around 230 teams from the following categories participate in this tournament: pre-youngest, youngest, fry, infant, cadet, youth and female.

GASTROTOUR SALOU: THE TAPAS ROUTE (MAY AND JUNE)
Gastrotour is another of Salou’s gastronomic events. From the beginning of May to the beginning of June, the town’s restaurants, bars and cafeterias offer tapas specially prepared for the occasion. Locals and visitors alike can discover the local gastronomy in bite-size portions specially made for this singular tapas route around Salou. In addition, many of the establishments also offer a parallel route specially designed for the smallest members of the family, the Baby Tour, an original way of taking the Salou tapas tour as a family.

SALOU CHALLENGE (MAY)
Another of Salou’s sports events, the Salou Challenge, is a triathlon held over a weekend in May. It offers a full programme of competitions that include the Half Challenge (a medium-distance triathlon with 1900 metres swimming, 90 km cycling and 21 km running), the Short Challenge (a short-distance triathlon), the Aqua Challenge (swimming race), the Junior Challenge (a race over various distances for children aged between 4 and 14) and the Breakfast Run (a festive 4-km race in aid of charity). The star event is the Half Challenge.

SALOU “GOLDEN NIGHTS” (AUGUST)
Salou’s Main Town Summer Festival, the “Golden Nights”, is held in August. For approximately 10 days the town is filled with activities, shows, concerts, folklore get-togethers, etc. for all ages and tastes.
The Main Town Summer Festival culminates on 15 August with a spectacular firework display on the Llevant Beach, opposite the seafront promenade.

SALOU’S MEDIAEVAL FAIR (SEPTEMBER)
In the first week of September, Salou commemorates the day in 1229 that King James I set sail from its beaches to conquer Mallorca. The town celebrates with an authentic medieval fair in the pedestrian-only streets of the old town. Visitors will find a genuine medieval street market with craft products of all types, as well as performances in the purest medieval style and activities for children throughout the day. The grand finale of the Salou medieval festival is a procession with around 300 people in costume representing the royal entourage that accompanied King James I in 1229.
RALLY RACC CATALUNYA-COSTA DAURADA (OCTOBER)
The Rally RACC Catalunya–Costa Daurada is part of the FIA World Rally Championship. It has been held in October on the Costa Daurada for more than ten years and its epicentre is Salou. PortAventura World theme park hosts the rally service park, the village, the press room and the rally office. The podium and the starting and finishing posts are on the seafront promenade, as well as a wide range of activities for both rally fans and the general public.

HALLOWEEN AT PORTAVENTURA WORLD (SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER)
PortAventura proposes a very special Halloween for all fans of strong emotions. From the end of September to the beginning of November, the park is fully themed with the most terrifying decoration, characters, shows and rides. If you come with the family, the kids can also enjoy it thanks to Sesame Aventura, PortAventura’s spot for the smallest members of the family.

CHRISTMAS AT PORTAVENTURA (NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER)
PortAventura World offers its visitors the opportunity to spend a unique and intimate Christmas in Salou. Every year, from the end of November to the beginning of January, the theme park is adorned with thousands of Christmas decorations. It is the ideal place and occasion to meet Father Christmas, who is in attendance every day until 24 December to receive letters from children.
